Principle of flat gate valve: When the output force of the actuator is applied to the wedge with a vertical downward force through the valve stem, the wedge will convert the vertical downward force into a horizontal force. Through the pressure plate, the horizontal force presses the two gates against the valve seat respectively, thus completely blocking the fluid by close metal contact. The surface of both gate and seat are hardened and have self-cleaning function. The special process surface hardness can reach up to HRC90 or more.

Due to its unique double gate structure of propped seal, it can achieve excellent bi-directional sealing performance under both high and low pressure. The larger the torque, the tighter the seal. It has a very high cut-off performance, so it can be used as an emergency shut-off valve, venting valve or large-diameter control valve under high temperature, high pressure or very low conditions.
